Is there a connection between Christianity and the Greek mytholody / religion?

If you look at it, most of the greek gods from thoes days are basically the same thing as the christian angels and god. Saint Michael the arch angel is the commander / general of the angelic army....ares god of war. Saint Barbara...you pray to her for protection and wisdom, Athena the goddess of war and wisdom. Saint gabriel was the messenger that went to virgin mary. Hermes was the greek gods messenger. Even the story with the flood, both jehova and zues drowned the world because of all the sins man were doing....What do you guys think? And yes...i had alot of time on my hands today lol
