A Period Question for the girls!?

I started my period December 2, 2008. It lasted until December 11,2008. Then, it stayed stopped until the 13, but then came back. It wasn't red though, it was brown. I still have it, and it's not heavy. I can wear the same pad for about 12 hours, and it's only like a ''skid mark'' when someone poops in their panties. Haha, sorry for TMI. It sometimes has little gooey stringy blackish/brownish things in my pad, or when I go pee, like it looks like blood ''crumbs'' yes, crumbs fall out. I am wondering what this is. My cousin is saying I need to go to the OBGYN immediatly, that this isn't normal, but my mom says it is. I'm 12 and I don't think I'm ready for the OBGYN. Maybe in about 2 years. Tell me what is happening. Thanks.
