I'm a beginner snowboarder and I want the Roxy silhouette or envi board. Is the magne-traction worth it?

I want a board that is good for free riding and for better turning, but I am not sure if spending more money for the envi is worth it. I saw that someone didn't like the magne-traction feature. Help me please! Also, what bindings are good? (Besides Burton.)
