When people say "The economy is good" do they really understand what that means?

People give W credit for a strong economy. One lesson he learned from his father was that the American people want to hear about a 'good' economy."The economy" they speak of is nothing more than a measure of corporate profits, job creation(not defined by what type of job-or considering the job losses in the productive sectors which make exports possible), and wallstreet #'s. --- To the average American the economy is 'How far will my paycheck go?' 'Can I find affordable housing?' 'Is their a job available that will pay me what I'm worth based on my credentials?' 'Can I afford to educate my kids,retire,etc......?' "The economy" as the definition is defined by government is a crock of feces. Part of the 'economic gains' of the "W" administration were achieved by the selling of American ets and infrastructure that will never be recovered and are now in the hands of foreigners. At what price did dum-dum acheive this? The future economy and national security.
